The practical answer is to use the store tied to the system where you may buy the full game. That lets you test the correct controller layout and, on Switch 2, the actual Nintendo build rather than footage from another platform.

What does the demo let you test?

Fireshine Games describes the expanded demo as a trip through the outskirts of Tick Town, the magical forest, and the clocktower ruins. It introduces movement and combat abilities, increasingly difficult platforming, and a fight against Wrath. That makes it useful for judging Duskfade’s central promise: chaining jumps, dashes, grapples, and attacks in a 3D action-platformer.

The demo is not a substitute for the full game’s later regions, progression pace, or complete collectible route. Treat it as a controls-and-combat trial, not proof that every part of the campaign performs or feels the same.
